Plain-language summary. We collect the information needed to run budgeted, we keep your data isolated and encrypted, and we don’t sell it or share it outside your organization. This summary is for convenience only; the full policy below governs.
1. Who we are
budgeted is a product of 11508890 Canada Inc. (“budgeted”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: the email address and details you provide when you sign up, and any invite code used during the beta.
- Content you add: the budgets, invoices, documents, vendor records, and other data you put into the Service (“Your Data”).
- Integration data: if you connect QuickBooks Online, the accounting data you authorize us to sync (such as bills and invoices).
- Usage and technical data: basic logs and diagnostics needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to provide and maintain the Service, keep the calculations current, secure your account, respond to support requests, and improve the product. We do not use Your Data to build advertising profiles.
4. Data isolation and security
Every account’s data is isolated from every other account at the database level, not just in the app. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to what’s needed to operate the Service. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to an early-stage product handling financial figures.
5. Sharing
We do not sell Your Data, and we do not share it outside your organization except:
- with service providers who host or support the Service and are bound to protect the data;
- with integrations you explicitly connect (such as QuickBooks Online);
- where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of budgeted and its users.
6. Third-party services
When you connect QuickBooks Online, data flows between budgeted and Intuit under the permissions you grant. Intuit’s handling of that data is governed by Intuit’s own privacy policy. QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online are trademarks of Intuit Inc.; budgeted is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit Inc.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep Your Data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time; when you do, we remove or de-identify Your Data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations.
8. Your choices
You can access and update your account information in the app, disconnect integrations at any time, and request deletion of your account. If you have questions or requests about your data, contact us using the details below.
9. Cookies
The marketing site uses only the cookies and local storage necessary to load pages and remember basic preferences. The application uses secure session cookies required to keep you signed in.
10. Children
The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
