Terms of Service

1. Who we are

budgeted (“budgeted”, “we”, “us”) is a product of 11508890 Canada Inc., a company incorporated in Canada. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the budgeted website, application, and related services (together, the “Service”).

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you’re using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” refers to that organization.

3. Open beta

The Service is currently offered as an open beta. That means:

• Features may change, break, or be removed while we improve the product.
• The Service is free during the beta, with a limit of up to 5 active projects per account.
• You should keep your own independent records of anything important. Do not rely on the Service as your sole system of record.

4. Accounts and access

Access during the beta may require an invite code. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

5. Your data

You retain ownership of the budgets, invoices, documents, and other content you put into the Service (“Your Data”). You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, back up, and display Your Data so we can provide the Service. We handle Your Data as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell Your Data, and we do not share it outside your organization except as needed to run the Service or as required by law.

6. Third-party integrations

If you connect a third-party service such as QuickBooks Online, your use of that service is governed by that provider’s own terms. QuickBooks Online integration requires an Essentials, Plus, or Advanced subscription; Simple Start is not supported. QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online are trademarks of Intuit Inc. budgeted is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit Inc.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including attempting to access data that isn’t yours, disrupting the Service, reverse-engineering it, or using it to violate any law.

8. Pricing changes

The Service is free during the open beta. It won’t be free forever, but we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before any paid plan starts, with no surprise charges. Members who sign up during the beta are eligible for founding-member pricing of 50% off the first year when paid plans launch.

9. Warranty disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any calculation or output is accurate for your particular purpose. You are responsible for verifying figures before relying on them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 11508890 Canada Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
